Mycorrhizal Applications PLANT IN ADULTS

Mycorrhizal experts still advocate for the best Mycorrhiza application when plants are young, which at the time in the nursery, seeding, polybag or at planting time. They also doubted whether the application Mycorrhizae giving effect on mature plants.

Difficult to say the application of mycorrhizal effect on mature plants, because observations are not possible variables to be studied, as seen from the development of plant height, leaf number, the amount of biomass, etc.. However, this did not deter us and peers to keep providing Mycorrhizae, although plants grown old. Visually, Mycorrhiza applications still provide a fairly good effect for plants, such as the development of stem diameter, leaf color, the level of stress during the dry season. The following pictures are of plants Mahogany at Soekarno Hatta Mycorrhizae applied during planting (mature plants). Picture taken on 10 August 2011, planting and application made in October 2010.

Mycorrhizal APPLICATIONS IN ORGANIC RICE FIELD

Some members do not recommend using mycorrhizal for wet rice cultivation. This is due to the still relatively expensive price and difficulty to inoculated plants.  Also a stagnant field conditions would presumably  mycorrhyza that have already infect the plants. But with the right techniques, this condition can be minimized. From some testing times in the field, the results show, the use of fertilizer P Embrace Decomposers (Mycorrhiza) and anchors N (Native) in rice paddy turns positive impact. Field testing was conducted at the Rural Organic Paddy Situ Gede, Bogor District of West and still running until now. Temporary observation, showed positive signs in a given organic rice and Native Mycorrhiza, namely:

Adaptation of crops to get better time to transplant seedlings from seedbed rice paddy.
Increased total paddy sapling.
The increase in root surface area.
Increase the surface area of the leaves.
Flowering, faster than in general (from age 45 days).
Resilience against pests of rice better.

The following Field Test data done in Situ Gede subdistrict, West Bogor District:

Farmer Name : Anwar
Age: 45 th
Broad Fields: 3000 m2
Rice Type: Mentik Wangi

Fertilizers used :
Bokhasi: 1.5 tons
Mycorrhizal: 2 kg
Native: 1 ltr

Herbal insectiside and others :
Maja fruit, garlic
Mycorrhiza application techniques and Native On Organic Rice:

In the seedbed :
Prior though, slowly nurtured by bokhasi. Having finished seedbed, spray with a dose of fertilizer N anchors 10ml/ltr water, then sprinkle the seeds has been completed. Day after sowing the seeds, sprinkle Mycorrhiza (2 kg), the condition of land in macak-macak.

At the completion of land planted :
Before treatment, fields cultivated with bokasi (1.5 tons). After completion of land, land sprayed earlier with Native dose 10ml/ltr water before planting. Repeat spraying in every 10 days with the same dose.

GARDENING PAPAYA INTERCROPPING WITH TEAK

Around the Ciampea Mountain, Bogor, Jawa Barat, who does not know Mr. Budi Suyanto. With his rather short body and stout muscles, bushy mustache, a bit bald head, his appearance is easily recognizable. Peoples around the mountain know him as a hard worker. Who would have thought, shrubs and weeds as high as 2 meters (so we will not be visible when we are stand in there), has been transformed into a teak plantation with gardens interspersed papaya which is very clean and tidy!

Fruitful with Papaya

An entrepreneur with gardening is an activity that has long dream. In addition to profit, this activity can make directly benefit the health protection of his body. As a national newspaper editor, gardening activities also give him benefit which is the mind is always clear and fresh, because the environment and the air clean and free from pollution.

Mr. Budi started a gardening business since 2.5 years ago. Work in garden starting when someone who have much of land, requested him to manage vacant land in mountain Ciampea areas. This empty land by the owner asked to crops with timber, such as teak and sengon. As a reward for his efforts, Mr. Budi entitled to get a part of the timber sale, 5 years to come.

Part of his garden

To manage this teak garden Mr. Budi recruit 3 workers. In their work, Mr. Budi implement very high discipline. He does not hesitate to scold him for his men, if their work is unsatisfactory.

Age 6 months Already Harvest Starts

After a while, it felt heavy work because must pay 3 people, while still too long to get a piece of timber. For that he asked for land owners to be allowed to use the land around the plant to plant with papaya. This request was approved by the land owner. So, he cleared land immediately around the plants to be planted with papaya.

As a graduated from Bogor Agricultural University, Department of Social Sciences Economics, he is including as quite hard worker. He does not want half measures in gardening. See, how the garden clean of grass and shrubs. Never once during droughts, water shortages occur, so he must make use of river water over 200 meters away from the location of the garden. With effort and do not care about time, and assisted the three employees Mr. Budi managed to irrigate the whole garden. As a result, his business has been able to finance all of its employees, even excessive, so as to provide additional income.

Know Mycorrhizae

With the knowledge gained in college and also learn from the internet and the people around him, Mr. Budi has already felt the results of his activity. Although it provides additional income, but felt his papaya garden has not yielded a maximum yet. If a long dry season arrives, so much going loss papaya flower, thus reducing the fruit it produces. Unfortunately in the first planting time (about 1.5 years ago), he's not using mycorrhizae. Although already familiar with mycorrhizal, but at that time was still very difficult to get it.

Growth Differences

Approximately 6 months that we offer mycorrhizae on him, and he agreed to wear them. It was beyond expectations, using mycorrhiza, plant pepayanya capable of harvesting at the age of 6 months! This means that 1 month earlier than in the fastest ever planted. In addition, its fruit is very dense and more resistant to disease and drought! Now when other papaya farmers began to fret with the emergence of various diseases, Mr. Budi would start to feel the harvest of papaya that he was only 6 months. Congratulations Mr. Budi!

FAQ Mycorrhizae

There are friends who ask about Mycorrhiza, the following question:

Assalaamu'alaikum wr br

Hi sir, I am Ahmad Suwardi ... I'm just starting to grow coffee and will start planting trees or albazia jabon in the next planting season. I am interested in arbuscular mycorrhizal and media. I am interested to buy it, but there are some things I want to ask:

1. Are Effective mycorrhiza on plants that are already planted.
(new planting 10 days ago) if you can how to apply
2. Whether a given coffee plant will quickly produce mycorrhizal
3. How to apply mycorrhizae in plant jabon / albazia to be planted.
4. What if the combined mycorrhizal with other fertilizers, how the comparison and what the most suitable fertilizer combination and how to apply.
5 Are the needs of mycorrhizae to plant coffee and jabon same?
6. What is the different between mycorrhizal and mycorrhizal media.
7. How much is it, how a minimum purchase, whether delivered?

I say thank you for your attention.

Wassalaamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.
Ahmad Suwardi

Answer the question:
Mycorrhizal fungi is a kind of symbiotic mutualism with the plant roots. It is said that, because of these symbiotic fungi gain, which can ride to live and breed in roots of plants, while tree roots or benefit from the nutrients absorbed by mycorrhizal plants may be distributed (in this case the experts are still conducting research as where the process of channeling this happens, whether eaten first by the fungus, then the results of edible plant secretions, or through channeled directly into the plant). In fact, when plants are infected by mycorrhizal fungi, then growth will be far different from those not infected with mycorrhizae.

Mycorrhizae are commonly sold on the market, is the result of proliferation of the fungus through the growth of mycorrhizal plants infected with certain media. The medium used can vary, there are normal soil, sand, zeolite and others. This type of media used will affect the production of mycorrhizae. Not all good media for growth of mycorrhizal, but based on observations of our experts, the media is best to zeolite. However, there is a particular zeolite is best for plant growth (this is what I sell) can hopefully be understood.

1. It's best mycorrhizal plants given during germination. However, be reckoned among the exit to the granting of mycorrhizal roots. Mycorrhiza was exposed to water, will break (spores) and then exit into hyphae (fine threads of yarn) to find the host (root crop), if within 2 weeks there is no host, then the estimated Sopra will die, so in vain of mycorrhizae. So if within 2 weeks of seed has not been issued a root, it will be in vain of mycorrhizae. To plant age 10 days not too late, I never gave mycorrhizal plants at the age of 6 months (teak), and still seen the difference with a non-mycorrhizal plants.
When you've already planted in the ground, then scraped (excavated) section close to the roots (up to meet some of its roots), then sprinkle mycorrhizal (+ 10 grams), then close again.

2. In addition to the main elements of Phosphorous consumed by mycorrhiza, there were also other elements that are consumed, such as N, K, and micro elements, so that infected mycorrhizal plants, will surely bear fruit sooner.

3. Giving the plant Jabon / Albasia, just as in other plants, which is given at the time in the hatchery, or upon transfer to a polybag or displacement field in a way sprinkled in the planting hole, then insert the seeds or seedlings will be planted.

4. Can also be combined with other fertilizers, provided:
- When the urea / SP / KCl, should be mixed at the time suddenly want an application (but this is not recommended.) No matter mixed with compost. The sooner you give the better mycorrhizal infection. Other fertilizers can catch up.
- Do not be mixed with the insecticide, herbicide or fungicide (either a liquid or a sow).

5. The amount of fertilizer given mycorrhizal dependent fungus content. If you use ours, about 10 grams of cropping (the content of our mycorrhizal about 10 spores / gram). But if the fertilizer you buy, the fungus only 1 spore / g, the amount of fertilizer should be added again. The bottom line, although only 1 spore, but if a spore is already infected, it is enough.

6. Mycorrhizae are generally sold with the medium, because fungus itself is very small (only seen with a microscope), it is not possible if sold mycorrhizae.

7. Price mycorrhiza of our USD. 8.00/kg (for Java, including postage, for the outer island of Java, we must first check the location). We can only suggest, if the your land is wide, then you should all order a 5 kg (normal packs of 5 kg, if less than 5 kg we have to repackage). For 1 plant need 5-10grams, then 1 kg can for 100-200 plants or 5 kg for the 1000-2000 crop. With mycorrhiza, the amount of fertilizer can be reduced 50% of the recommended dose (if fertilized).
